Our Services

Our commission painting services extend to all Games Workshop and ForgeWorld Miniatures. This includes all boxed games, Age of Sigmar, Heresy, and Middle Earth Battle Strategy Game.

We welcome other types of miniatures and will let you know if we can take the models on or not. 3D printing can be commissioned but we may reject commissions with low quality prints.

  • It is always quicker if you provide us with finished models. That said, we can build for you at a cost..

  • We paint your miniatures to the standard you need, with as much or as little trimmings.

    We offer three standards:

    • Battle ready - standard GW rules of three colours and one wash,

    • Tabletop - the above, and one level of highlighting, or

    • Style - all of the previous levels plus a mixture of airbrushing, brushing, and with effects like OSL, stippling, glazing, and secondary highlights.

    With each level you can expect to pay a little more to reflect the extra time taken to ensure your end product will get people’s attention.

  • We offer three levels of basing.

    • Texture paint,

    • Cork basing with texture paint and bones,

    • Milliput, with all of the above.

    Basing is an important part of your commission as a whole. A high level basing scheme will elevate your model, or make the army standout if it’s part of a larger force.

  • An important part of anyone’s hobby journey is having great terrain!

    We are happy to ensure that your models have the right back drop that compliments their quality, and ensures all your friends and opponents want to game on your battlefield.

Pricing

At Pear Tree, we recognise the miniature hobby has a certain level of privilege to it and can cost a bit. Our prices strike the balance between making sure artists, and anyone we contract to help you get your models faster, are paid appropriately, and allowing people to participate without having to pay a fortune.

Here is a rough guideline below:

Tabletop level

  • 28mm Imperial Guard infantry - $19 per model to start pending colour.

  • 32mm Space marines - $23 per model to start pending colour.

  • Terminator equivalent troops $28 per model .

  • Larger models (i.e, space marine tanks; Gladiators, impulsors etc) $90 - $120 to start.

  • Knights, Primarchs and larger daemons; $200-250 to begin with.

Style level - Note, this is for people who want centerpiece level models, and this means you will pay more:

  • 28mm Imperial Guard infantry - $28 per model to start pending colour.

  • 32mm Space marines - $35 per model to start pending colour.

  • Terminator equivalent troops $42 per model to start.

  • Larger models (i.e, space marine tanks; Gladiators, impulsors etc) $160 - $200 to start.

  • Knights, Primarchs and larger daemons; $350 - $500 to begin with.

We will give you a full costing once we understand what you require and the levels you need the models painted to. There is a slight increase in cost for painting more difficult colours like yellows and oranges. Please get in contact for a no obligations discussion on what you want to create. We will provide pricing in the form of a quote, which you can accept or decline at no cost to you.

Shipping

We operate from New Zealand and will service both Islands, as well as all of Australia. There is nothing preventing us from sending models overseas as long as you are happy to wait and pay for the shipping costs.

We will wrap any international parcels as much as possible.

However, if you are shipping over long distances, we cannot guarantee that your models will be handled by shipping companies with the care we instruct to them. Please do bear this in mind.
